For Vancouver 2025, Just Dance Vision: Mashup Contest will introduce an exciting new voting system to make the contest more engaging, fair, and accessible for all.

This year, the voting process will feature two components: the Team Jury Vote and the Public Vote (or Televote). Each will contribute equally to the final score, forming a balanced 50/50 split.

With this new setup, teams of participants will cast their votes as part of the Team Jury instead of in the Televote. The combined votes of each country’s team members will create a single Team Jury score, which will be publicly announced during the Grand Final livestream. This change introduces transparency, as each team’s score will be unveiled live, adding excitement with the iconic “twelve points go to…” announcements. Each team will also nominate a member to record their announcement of the 12 points, creating a personal and fun addition to the Grand Final reveal

For the Public Vote, the Just Dance community will participate in the same way as in previous years. Voters will submit a top 10 ranking of their favorite entries, awarding points from 12 down to 1. However, the distribution of these votes will be scaled to match the total points awarded by the Team Jury, ensuring a fair 50/50 balance.

This new system also helps equalize opportunities across teams of different sizes. Previously, smaller teams had the potential to gain an advantage over larger teams, due to the self-voting rule. With the new Team Jury system, each team—large or small—has an equal influence on the final results, allowing all teams to compete fairly.

By introducing this 50/50 voting system, Just Dance Vision creates a fairer and more dynamic experience, allowing both team votes and public votes to equally impact the final outcome. This change not only ensures fairness for teams of all sizes but also brings a new level of excitement to the Grand Final. We look forward to seeing how this system shapes Vancouver 2025!
