The winners of the first Golden Fishies awards are here!

Team England (findance, JD Mime, Caver Dance) won this year’s JDVision Mashup Contest in Kraków with the unforgettable “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!”. But, to honour what an amazing edition it was outside of our champions, we wanted to give out some secondary awards that realised the hard-working efforts of all of this year’s teams.

As a community, we asked everyone to vote for their favourite mashups in a few key categories… here’s how they voted.

Best Background 2026

West USA: Alter Ego by SODA, Shabi Fanmades, jojoeo, just vivi, dancingpugthing

It’s the year of the (low-poly) swamp! West USA wins best background for their mashup Alter Ego, which saw us breaking into a top-secret cloning facility deep in the forest. Mixing full 3D environments with 2D, futuristic control panels, they immersed us in their world and sold an engaging PS1 aesthetic. Well done to SODA, Shabi Fanmades, jojoeo, just vivi and dancingpugthing!

Best Choreography 2026

England: JD Mime and Caver Dance for “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!”

Our winners come back for another trophy! JD Mime and Caver Dance win Best Choreography for their work on this year’s 1st place mashup. JD Mime took creative control of the entire choreography process, creating a dance that was as jazzy as the song, as well as sourcing all of the background coaches at a matched BPM. Talk about attention to detail!

Best Song Choice 2026

England: findance for “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!”

Again? Our winners come back for their third trophy with their pick of RAYE’s “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!”. It was a no-brainer choice from Team England, with RAYE being one of the country’s most recognisable rising talents, and the song going 2x Platinum across the UK. During this year’s Grand Final, findance referenced the song choice when delivering England’s jury points from London.

Biggest Robbery

Netherlands: 28th Place - Sugardaddy by JustTim

This year’s ‘Biggest Robbery’ award goes to our last-place contestant, JustTim. Sugardaddy was the recipient of this year’s ‘0 points’, making this an obvious, commiseratory pick for our community.

Best Improvement

Finland: David Dance

Finland’s mashup left jaws on the floor when it released; David Dance had participated a year prior, debuting Finland in 2025 with ‘Poijjaat Valminna?’, coming fourth-last in 23rd place. This year, he came back with experience in Blender to pull off one of the contest’s most historic glow-ups, giving us a retro, full-3D experience that was impressive at every moment. He soared through the Jury Vote, receiving four special 12s (including from winning team England and previous winners Canada), before placing 8th overall - a whopping 15-place upgrade.

Best Concept/Story

Wales: PoyoPooper for “Total Eclipse of the Heart”

Wales was an obvious candidate for this award from the start. PoyoPooper made the year’s most lore-heavy mashup, telling us the mysterious story of JDVision Television in ‘analog horror’ style. There was more than enough time to tell the story too… “Total Eclipse of the Heart” is the longest mashup in JDVision history, with the song clocking in at around 7 minutes!

Most Iconic Debut

Sweden: nessälska for “EUROSUMMER”

Sweden gets its flowers as this year’s most iconic debut, giving us a sun-tanned rendition of Zara Larsson’s ‘EUROSUMMER’. Well done to nessälska for bowling over the JDVision audience as this year’s most iconic debutante!
